Indian announces change in toll free number

Chennai, Apr 3 (UNI) Indian today announced change in toll free number for passengers, due to change in all MTNL/BSNL number series starting with 1600.

Henceforth, passengers contacting the Indian toll free number will be required to dial 1800 180 1407 from MTNL/BSNL telephones instead of the existing 1600 180 1407, an Indian release said here.

Mobile users will, however, continue to reach the call centre of the ourlines by dialling 1407 after prefixing the STD code of any of the four metros -- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai -- and Bangalore and Hyderabad.
