Honda Siel March sales up 19 per cent
New Delhi, Apr 3: Premium car maker Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today said it sold 6,120 cars in March 2006, up 19 per cent from 5,142 units during the same month last year.
HSCI closed the 2005-06 financial year with total sales of 42,727 units in the domestic market, registering a growth of 14 per cent over 37,480 in the previous financial year.
The company's flagship model, the Honda City, accounted for 37,545 units in the year. Of this, the City ZX, which was made available to customers in the end of November 2005, accounted for 17,165 units.
Total Accord and CR-V sales for 2005-06 stood at 3,324 and 1,858 units respectively.
The Accord tally in March 2006, was 507 and the CR-V was 147.
Honda Siel Cars India is a joint venture between Honda Motor Co. of Japan and Siel Ltd (India).
