Gujarat Ambuja Cement dispatches up by 13 pc in March'06

Mumbai, April 03 (UNI) Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd (GACL) has posted a growth of 12 per cent at 13.33 lakh mt in the cement production for the month of March this year as against 11.85 lakh mt in the same month last year.

The company said cement dispatches rose by 13 per cent at 13.29 lakh mt during the period under review against 11.79 lakh mt in March last year.

In a releated development, GACL's associate company Ambuja Cement Eastern Ltd has posted a rise of 16 and 23 per cent in production and desptaches of cement respectively March this year at 2 lakh mt and 2.18 lakh mt against 1.73 lakh mt and 1.77 lakh mt respectively.
