Govt escorts vehicles on NH to counter blockade

Imphal, Apr 3 (UNI) The Manipur government today escorted the trucks from Manipur-Nagaland border to counter economic blockade by Zeliangrong Students' Union (ZSU) and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO).

Officials said here the trucks transporting essential commodities were escorted on National Highway 39.

The two students organisation had called an economic blockade, demanding repair of the road, which connects Senapati and Tamenglong districts.

The organisations have urged the drivers to support the blockade.

Various organisations have extended support to ZSU and KSO.
