Bihar: Extremists lays seize on railway station
Patna, Apr 3: Armed activists of proscribed CPI(Maoist) laid a seize on Nadaul railway station in Patna-Gaya section under Danapur divsion of East Central Railway(ECR) at midnight yesterday.
Chief public relations officer of ECR A K Chandra said large number extremists swooped the railway station and scared away the station master and other members of the staff on duty. Some of the railway employees were assaulted in the process, he added.
Train services were disrupted in the section and Dhanbad bound Ganga Damodar Express was stranded at Patna while some other passenger trains were regulated at Jehanabad and Parsa stations, Mr Chandra said.
The incident is believed to be the sequel of arrests of four CPI(Maoist) activists at Patna today. Huge contingents of security forces rushed from Jehanabad and Patna to bring the situation under control.
