Extremist seize railway station
Patna, Apr 2 (UNI) Armed activists of proscribed CPI(Maoist) laid a seize on Nadaul railway station in Patna-Gaya section under Danapur division of East-Central Railway(ECR) at midnight today.
Chief public relations officer of ECR A K Chandra said that large number extremists swooped the railway station and scared the station master and other members of the staff on duty. Some of the railway employees were assaulted in the process, he added.
Train services were disrupted on the section and Dhanbad bound Ganga-Damodar Express was stranded at Patna while some other passenger trains were regulated at Jehanabad and Parsa stations, he said.
The incident is believed to be the sequel to the arrests of four CPI(Maoist) activists at Patna today. Contingents of security forces have been rushed from Jehanabad and Patna to bring the situation under control.
