Cong notice to Chouhan on Joshi CD case
Bhopal, Apr 3 (UNI) The Congress has slapped a legal notice on Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while alleging that senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sanjay Joshi was absolved, in the 'sex CD scandal' in a preplanned manner at the government's behest.
''The notice seeks to know on what basis Mr Joshi was exonerated even before investigating agencies began a probe,'' state Congress Legal Cell Chairman J P Dhanopia said in a statement issued here today.
He alleged that not only was a plan formulated to save Mr Joshi's but the CD was also tampered with.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi said in a statement that the clean chit given to Mr Joshi constituted a blow to the BJP regime's prestige.
''I am surprised that Mr Joshi was elevated to the post of General Secretary (Organisation),'' she added.
