Written by: Staff

New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) A BJP delegation led by national Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will meet Chief Election Commissioner demanding him to take notice of the alleged violation of the model code of conduct during polls.

The delegation consisting of former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, senior party MP S S Ahluwalia and Prakash Javadekar will apprise the CEC about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announcing economic package to the victims of ethnic violence in Karbi-Anglong district during his election tour.

The leaders who are scheduled to meet the EC at 1500 hours would also try to convince him that BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan holding a press conference cannot be viewed as violating the election code.
