BEL AP unit clocks Rs 163 cr turnover

Machilipatnam, Apr 3 (UNI) Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) unit here today achieved a turnover of Rs 163 crore in financial year 2005-06.

A BEL Spokesman told UNI here today it had supplied equipment, including handheld thermal imagers and night vision sights for main battle tank Arjun and night vision devices to defence and paramilitary forces and police.

During the current financial year, BEL had bagged about Rs 215 worth of orders so far from Nepal, Sudan and Indian military forces, most of them for handheld thermal imagers.
