Azad approves free ration to talwara migrants

Jammu, Apr 3 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today approved free ration to 308 registered migrant families putting up at Talwara.

This was stated at a high level meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr Vijay bakaya to workout modalities of providing free ration to the genuine families. Free ration would be provided for a period of three months from April, 2006.

The decision of providing free ration to the migrants of Talwara was the outcome of the interaction, the deputation of these families had with the Chief Minister, during which they demanded free ration among other facilities.

Mr. Bakaya directed the concerned agencies to ensure that every genuine migrant person gets free ration at the sanctioned scale at the camp site without any difficulty.
