Army jawan killed in BRO dynamite blast

Dehradun, Apr 3 (UNI) A soldier was killed when a boulder fell on him at Uttarkashi following a dynamite blast.

The victim, Sanjay was returning to Joshimath unit with his Army troops after completion of routine battle exercise when a boulder fell on him following dynamite blast conducted by Boarder Road Organisation for broadening the Sunagar - Helgu road, Disaster Management and Mitigation Centre sources said.

He was immediately air-lifted to Harshil hospital and provided first-aid arrangements were being made to take him to Dehradun Hospital but he succumed to his injuries, the sources said.
