7-year-old girl raped by sweeper in school

Ahmedabad, Apr 3 (UNI) A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a school's toilet by the sweeper at the Kameshwar Vidhyala in Jodhpur locality of the posh Satellite area of the city this afternoon.

According to police, the girl was allegedly raped by Pravin Makwana, just after school closed at 1100 hours.

After committing the crime, the culprit shut the girl in the toilet. She was rescued by nearby residents who heard her cry of help. The girl was found physically mauled and in a troubled state of mind, the police said.

The girl was rushed to the V S hospital for treatment and check-up. Police have arrested Prrvin Makwana based on the description provided by the girl.

Police claim that Makwana, upon interrogation, has admitted to the crime. He is married and his pregnant wife is, presently, residing with her parents.
