Four more arrested from Thane in fake job racket

Surat, Apr 3: Four more persons were arrested from Thane district in Maharashtra in connection with the fake job racket operating in the city.

The four arrested - Bablu Raghavan, Jerry George, Johnson George (Kerala) and Amal Padmalay Chakravarty (West Bengal) - were brought here from Thane yesterday.

Police said the accused were operating from Bhayendar and Vasai suburbs in Thane district and were functioning in close association with International Link, the fake job providing agency which was raided here last week.

Police had also arrested the racket's kigpin - David Samuel, after one of the victims - Girish Pandya had lodged a complaint with the police that Samuel had taken money and even kept his passport while assuring him a job abroad, but he was neither provided any job, nor his money and passport were returned.
