3 held in fake currency racket

Tirupati, Apr 3 (UNI) Police arrested three persons and seized Rs 1.30 lakh in fake currency from their possession at Piler in Chittoor district, about 50kms from here.

On information, police raided a tea stall and arrested S Sivasanaran (53) yesterday while he was exchanging the currency.

Based on Sankaran's statement, police arrested Manchi Vittal (56) and Muthuraman (52), both from Tamil Nadu, in connection with the racket.

Police said Vittal, belonging to Nizamabad district, was already an accused in fake note cases in Warangal, Nizamabad, Medak and Hyderabad districts. But he had got bail in two cases.

His son Santosh was also arrested in the same case last month at Nizamabad UNI KNR GM 1829
