29 lekhpals suspended, six cops sent to lines

Gorakhpur/Fatehpur, Apr 3 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended 29 'lekhpals' on charges of indiscipline in the Gorakhpur district.

District Magistrate (Gorakhpur) Dr Hariom said here today that 29 lekhpals have been suspended with immediate effect on charges of indiscipline, while adverse entry has been ordered against nine other lekhpals for dereliction of duty.

Meanwhile, a report from Fatehpur district said that six policemen have been sent to lines on charges of desertion of duty.

The policemen include head constable Ram Murti Singh and constables Chadra Bhushan, Satyavir Singh, Rakshapal Singh, Gulab Tiwari and Chadrabali Singh.
