15 pc fixation benefit to MPSEB workers

Jabalpur, Apr 3 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board (MPSEB) has decided to provide 15 per cent fixation benefit to its five companies' 55,000 employees, with retrospective effect, from January 1, 2001.

MPSEB Financial Advisor Pankaj Agrawal and Secretary P K Vaishya told mediapersons here today that a contract of this nature was inked in Bhopal yesterday with the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Karmchari Sangh.

Arrears would be paid, with retrospective effect, from October 1, 2003.

''The arrears, amounting to about Rs 280 crore, will be paid in 24 instalments,'' Mr Vaishya added.
