13 killed, 29 injured in road accidents
Hyderabad, Apr 3: At least 13 people were killed and 29 others injured in four separate road accidents in the state.
Nine people died and 12 injured when the van in which they were travelling, turned turtle near Polathala village in Kadapa district yesterday. The injured were admitted to the district hospital.
In Nalgonda district, two persons died and eight others injured when their van lost control and the vehicle dashed against an electric pole near Ghanapur. They were going to attend Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's programme.
Among the injured, the condition of two were stated to be critical and efforts were made to shift them to Hyderabad for treatment.
In the same district, a child was killed on the spot and five others injured when the car in which they were going, lost control and hit a tree near Pagidipalli village of Bhongir mandal. The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
In Visakhapatnam district, one person was killed on the spot and four others injured when their van lost control and fell near a valley in Bangarammapeta village of Anantagiri mandal.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
