Zambia president in London for health check-report
LUSAKA, Apr 2 (Reuters) Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa has been taken to London for a medical check-up, local media said today.
''President Mwanawasa has left the country for London, for his medical review. This is according to a statement released to ZNBC news by the President's Principal Private Secretary, Alfred Chipoya,'' the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) said on its website.
It gave no further details but said Mwanawasa was expected to return soon.
