Vice President to inaugurate Patanjali Yogpith at Haridwar on Apr
New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will inaugurate the first phase of one of the largest yoga, ayurved treatment and research Institute ''Patanjali Yogpith'' at Haridwar on April 6.
Patanjali Yogpith will also be dedicated to the cause of humanity on that day and Uttaranchal Chief Minister Narain Dutt Tewari will preside over the function.
Sick people will be treated at Yogpith using pranayam, yoga and ayurved practices as being taught and popularised by Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev across the country.
More than 50,000 people are expected to converge at the venue to participate in the three-day-long event beginning April 4, Patanjali Yogpith spokesman S K Gupta Tijarawala, said in a press release here today.
The function will be kicked off by Uttaranchal Governor Sudarshan Aggarwal and RSS Chief K S Sudarshan will be the Chief Guest.
Dignitaries to attend the function include Rail Minister Lalu Prasad, Chief Ministers Nitish Kumar, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Capt.
Amarinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Narendra Modi, Arjun Munda, Sheila Dikshit and Raman Singh, Mr Tijarawala added.
