Union minister says Rathyatras not to revive BJP fortunes
Kanpur, Apr 2 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home and local Congress MP Sriprakash Jaiswal today said the twin rathyatras proposed by the BJP will not revive the moribund 'saffron' party.
Talking to newspersons here Mr Jaiswal said the two yatras proposed by present BJP president Rajnath Singh and his predecessor L K Advani will end up becoming futile efforts to revive a ''body from grave.'' The BJP has lost its credibility among the people due to its misrule and any such yatra will not help in reviving the party fortunes, especially in politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh, he claimed.
Mr Jaiswal also said owing to prospects of communan flare ups being triggered by the twin BJP treks, the vigilance and security personnel have been alerted to deal with any law and order problem.
