Tribal body to support DPA in polls

Chennai, Apr 2 (UNI) The three-lakh strong South Indian Tribal Federation today pledged its support to the DMK-led DPA in the May 8 polls to the Tamil Nadu Assembly.

A delegation, headed by Federation Founder K Pazhankudi Baalu, today called on DMK President M Karunanidhi at ''Anna Arivalayam'' to convey its support to the DPA.

They also assured Mr Karunanidhi that the federation would campaign in support of the DPA candidates in the polls.

A CD containing various welfare schemes announced by the DMK during Mr Karunanidhi's tenure as Chief Minister was released by Mr Karunanidhi. The first copy was received by DMK Deputy General Secretary M K Stalin.
