Tie up between Indian and German Universities
Bangalore: The University of Applied Sciences in Germany is looking for students from India for higher studies in the field of Information Technology and Modern management. A high level delegation from the University with its President Prof.Dr.Jurgen Lehmann and his collegeues had discussion with the authorities of IIT Khargapur and Universities in Ban galore and Mysore are satisfied with the disussion and planning to have an MOU with these institutions.
According to Prof. Jurgen Lehmann , the main attraction of the Indian students in Germany is high quality and low cost compared to other European countries. Situated in Hof , Bavaria, the 12 year old University ,having 1800 students, is offering new advanced cources in Software Engineering ,Textile Technology.and Modern management. All these cources are designed according to the need of modern Industry.
The modern Industry need managers with technical knowledge. So we are offering Masters degree in Management for Indian Enginneering graduates ,said Prof. . Jurgen Lehmann.
The Masters degree in Modern software Programme will be conducted in collabration with big Industries. The students will get chances for placement after their studies.In addition to this the university is planning student, faculty exchange programmes.
In order to attract foreign students , the carriculam will be in English. They will get opportunity to study German languages. Students can make money by doing part time work.during their stay in Germany.
Under graduate cources are basically free. But the maximum monthly expense for food and accommodation will be 400 Euros.
This year the University is looking for 10 students in the first semester from India. The semester will start from 1 st October.There will be a sreening if there is more applicants.
in order to attract Indian students the German govt has relaxed the Visa regulations.
The university is organizing summer school from july 10-28 th for students who are planning to study in Germany.
