Srinagar, Apr 2 (UNI) Concerned over the decline in business due to traffic diversions in the civil lines, the nerve centre of the summer capital, the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) demanded the reconsideration reconsider of traffic restriction.

Shifting of bus stands from the civil line and traffic diversions of public transport has badly affected the business of the traders, a spokesman of the KTMF said.

He said if steps are not taken immediately to restore traffic movement it will be difficult for the traders to survive.

The spokesman appealed to the authorities who devised the traffic diversions at places including Budshah Chowk to re-examine the decision to save the traders of the civil lines.

The present traffic system has not only affected business, even commuters find it troublesome, he said.

The authorities have recently introduced a new traffic system to overcome the traffic jams in the city, particularly in the civil lines.
