Remand of NCP corporator, 5 others extended in kidnapping case
Nanded, Maharashtra, Apr 2 (UNI) A local court today extended police custody of six accused in the kidnapping of a minor girl from here, till April 9.
The six accused include Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Gafar Khan. A 22-year old youth Imran Khan has been held for kidnapping a minor girl from here on March 26 while rest have been arrested for aiding him.
The police had nabbed Imran Khan from Indore in Madhya Pradesh on March 28.
Meanwhile, there was a clash between supporters of the accused persons and the complainants near the district court before the six were produced before the court.
Few incidents of stone pelting were reported in the Juna Mondha locality in the latter part of the day. Police were deployed in the troubled areas.
