Realtor hacked to death
Bangalore, Apr 2 (UNI) A five-member gang hacked to death a realtor and seriously injured his associate at Kempapur Coffee Board Layout in the city late last nignt.
Police said Santhosh (23), running a real estate business in the city, was waylaid by a gang when he was returning home on his two-wheeler and hacked with lethal weapons. When Santhosh fell down, he was stabbed many times, before being run over by the gang's four wheeler. The realtor's associate, Manju, who tried in vain to protect Santhosh, sustained severe cut injuries and was admitted to a private hospital.
In a retaliatory step, Santhosh's supporters ransacked the house of a local Congress leader, suspected to be behind the incident, besides some vehicles parked in the vicinity.
Police were on the look out for the culprits. They suspected that business rivalry could have led to the crime.
