Period of daily prayers at Ram Janma Bhoomi extended by 3 hours

Ayodhya, Apr 2 (UNI) Owing to huge rush of devotees awaiting their turn to offer prayers to the idol of Ram Lalla at the sensitive Ram Janma Bhoomi complex here, the authorities have extended the period of daily worship by three hours.

Additional District Magistrate Narendra Singh Patel said here today that due to the growing crowd of devouts during Navaratra, the period of offering prayers will stay extended by three hours into two intervals till April eight next.

The devouts will now be allowed to offer prayers at the makeshift temple in two intervals 0700 hrs to 1200 hrs and 1300 hrs to 1800 hrs, instead of earlier 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs and 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs, he added.
