Panthers to hold conference to demand dual voting rights
Thane, Apr 2 (UNI) A two-day conference of the Maharashtra State Viduthalai Chirutaigal (Dalit Panthers) will be held in Mumbai from April 15 to discuss various problems faced by the organisation members and demand dual voting rights.
Announcing this here today State Panthers President V J Balan said to emphasis dual voting rights, their parent body Tamil Nadu Viduthalai Chirutaigal (Dalit Panthers) had recently organised a conference in the districts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka under the leadership of Thiru Thol Thirumavalavan.
In continuation of that Maharashtra State Viduthalai Chirutaigal (Dalit Panthers) has organised the conference. On the occasion, a souvenir entitled ''Social Harmony Souvenir 2006'' highlighting the grievances and demands of all section of Tamils, who had settled in Mumbai for more than 100 years, would be brought out, he said.
