Over 5,000 students to recieve KSOU degrees
Mysore, Apr 2 (UNI) Over 5,000 candidates from across the country will receive their master's degrees and doctorates at the sixth annual convocation of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) to be held here tomorrow.
Addressing the newspersons here, KSOU Vice-Chancellor K Sudha Rao said the varsity had received further boost with fresh admissions this year crossing the 40,000 mark. The response was good from neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, he added.
West Bengal governor Dr Gopalakrishna Gandhi would deliver the convocation address and his Karnataka counterpart and KSOU Chancellor T N Chaturvedi preside over the function.
