Expressing her Government's committement to providing civic amenities to all those persons who are residing in Delhi, the Chief Minister announced hike in annual development grant for each colony from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh on the request of local MPs Sajjan Kumar and Sandeep Dikshit.

Both the local MPs expressed their gratitude towards Ms Dikshit for her decisions which would go a long way in raising living standards of residents of unauthorized colonies which were earlier neglected because of hassles coming up due to multiplicity of authorities in Delhi.

The MCD had organized two separate functions to inaugurate the Sanitation Drive in unauthorised colonies. The first function was organised in Kirari Village in Outer Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency, which was attended by local MP Sajjan Kumar and local MLA Shri Surender Kumar. Another function was organised at Harsh Vihar, New Seemapuri wherein local MP Sandeep Dikshit and local MLA V.S. Dhingan were present.
