Entire batch of IIFT walks out with record high annual salary
New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) The entire batch of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) walked out with a record high annual domestic salary and international salary of Rs 10.55 lakh and 100,000 US dollar respectively on the first day of its placement week.
The average domestic salary this year was Rs 8.1 lakh compared to Rs 7.28 lakh last year.
A vast array of companies from different sectors like FMCG, Banking, Consultancy, IT, Pharmaceuticals, Trading and Logistics participated in the recruitment drive, an IIFT release said today.
MBA (International Business), the flagship of two year full-time Degree Programme of IIFT started in the mid-80s, is well sought after and about 35,000 applications are received every year for only 120 seats.
The three-year part-time MBA(IB) Degree Programme as also the one-and-half-year Executive Members IB Programme - the latter both on Campus and Online- have also attracted wide recognition from all stake holders.
The IIFT's four-month Certificate Programme in Export Management (CPEM) is also becoming increasingly popular.
Since its inception in 1964, IIFT has been at the forefront of international management education and research and has been accorded the status of Deemed University by University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been consistently ranked in various B-School Surveys among the top ten business schools of the country, UNI BBS MP RAI1845
