Election media centre set up at Baramullah

Baramulla, Apr 2 (UNI) A hi-tech media centre has been set up in the office of deputy commissioner here, where by-elections to three assembly contituencies rafiabad, pattan and sangrama will be held on April 24 this month.

According to an official spokesman, all modern telecom facilities like fax, computer and internet have been provided for quick dissemination of press releases and other material or informations related to bye-elections. The fully equipped media centre would be functional daily from 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs and its contact telephone numbers are 234035 and 234020, he added.

The spokesman said the returning officers, assistant returning officers and the election cell have been asked to convey all their press material regarding elections to the media centre so that these can be made available to electronic and print media for coverage.
