DMK, PMK swap Dharmapuri and Pennagaram seats for TN polls
Chennai, Apr 2 (UNI) The DMK, heading the DPA in Tamil Nadu, today swapped the Dharmapuri and Pennagaram constituencies with its key ally PMK for the May eight Assembly polls.
As per the agreement signed between the two parties here today, the DMK would contest from Pennagaram constituency, which was originally allotted to PMK.
The PMK in turn, would contest from Dharmapuri, which the DMK had kept for itself during the earlier seat sharing agreement.
A press release from DMK said the party's Dharmapuri candidate P N Periannan would now contest from Pennagaram.
Under the seat sharing agreement, the PMK has been allotted 31 seats.
