CPM to organise dharnas in AP

Hyderabad, Apr 02 (UNI) Communist Party of India, CPI (M) Andhra Pradesh unit today said the party would by organising dharnas on April 17 in all municipal offices in protest against the increasing taxes and privatising civic services in the state.

According to a press release here, CPI (M) state Secretary and national politburo member BV Raghavulu charged that the state government was removing public taps and increased fees for new tap connections and drinking water taxes in the municipalities.

Calling upon the people to participate in dharnas being organised bythe party in a big way, Mr Raghavulu said the party would also organise a signature campaign and public meetings from April 10 in all municipalities.
