CPI leader's body cremated

Vijayawada, Apr 2 (UNI) The mortal remains of Communist Party of India (CPI) City Secretary and All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) State Secretary K Sekhar Babu who died last evening after suffering serious head injury in a road accident was consigned to flames at Swargapuri this afternoon.

The last journey began from Komal Vilas Centre and passed through main thoroughfares of the city with thousands of CPI activists and sympathisers participating.

CPI Leaders Puvvada Nageswar Rao, Potturi Nageswar Rao, AITUC All India President P S Chandrasekhar and All India Kishan Sabha Vice President Kolli Nageswar Rao were also present.
