Congress leader killed in AP
Machilipatnam, AP, Apr 2: A Congress leader was allegedly killed by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists near Adapavaripalem village in Krishna District last night.
Police said Mopidevi mandal Congress leader and pimary Agriculture Cooperative Society President T Naga Babu (40) was attacked with deadly weapons by eight TDP workers, while returning to his house in a tractor.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, police added.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed in the village, following the incident. A special police team launched a hunt to nab the culprits.
