Bhopal, Apr 2 (UNI) AICC General Secretary V Narayansami, who also holds charge of Madhya Pradesh, today lambasted both BJP President Rajnath Singh and the police for providing a clean chit to RSS General Secretary Sanjay Joshi in the infamous 'sex CD case' and demanded that the Centre order a CBI inquiry.

''The state government deliberately dispatched a fake CD to the Hyderabad-based laboratory, which also admitted that the CD had already been tampered with,'' he claimed, talking to mediapersons here.

Accusing Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP Krishna Murari Moghe of occupying two offices of profit each, Mr Narayansami added that the Congress had complained, in writing, to the Chief Election Commissioner.

''Nobody in the BJP, which raised the office-of-profit issue, possesses (Congress President) Sonia Gandhi's moral courage to resign,'' he asserted.

Mr Narayansami claimed the state government was indifferent to the plight of farmers affected by unseasonal showers and hailstorms.

''Despite having a relief fund in excess of Rs 300 crore, the government is neither doling out compensation nor sending a report to the Centre. Congress efforts led to a central team's visit. A power tariff hike has led to a pitiable condition of peasants who were already affected by natural calamities,'' he alleged.

The Congress' Madhya Pradesh unit Chief Subhash Yadav said demonstrations would be staged on April 8, at block headquarters, against the increase.
