Auto mania grips Pearl City on 'Ugadi'
Hyderabad, Apr 2 (UNI) The Pearl City recorded a sale of 500 cars on 'Ugadi' (Telugu New Year) which was celebrated on March 30.
Sources said here today 506 cars were sold in the city as against 497 in Mumbai, 496 in New Delhi, 436 in Chennai and 420 in Bangalore on the day.
They said price reduction and coupled with end of financial year led to the soaring sales.
Hyundai sold 110 Santro cars followed by Maruti (105) and Tata (100). Many of the customers were from middle class and employed who brought the vehicles after availing loans from banks.
