3 killed, 7 injured in road accident

Pune, Apr 2 (UNI) Three persons were killed and seven others injured when the truck in which they were travelling dashed against a tree on the Pune-Solapur Road in the early hours today.

The truck was going to Solapur when the driver lost control and dashed against the tree near Warwand village at around 0230 hrs today, rural police informed. The truck was carrying sand.

Those killed lives were all labourers working on a construction site and were residents of Kasurwadi in Daund taluka of this district.

The deceased have been identified as Bhagwan Yashwant Chandanshive (23), Dagdudada Sonawane (26) and Popat Sambhaji Shelar(55). Seven others who were injured have been admitted to a private hospital at Yavat, police said.
