Youth commits suicide in Kangra

Dharamshala, Apr 1 (UNI) A 25-year-old unemployed youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Kalaid village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, police said today.

Kangra DSP Virender Thakur said villagers found Jeevan Kumar's body hanging from a tree behind his house.

He said no suicide note was recovered from the house or the body.

Police believe he was suffering from a stress due to his unemployment.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and police said investigation were on.

However, in another incident, the accused in the abduction and rape of a sixth standard girl was yet to be arrested, despite raids by the police at various places in the district.

Police said the accused has been identified and would be arrested soon.
