WB Congress to release manifesto on Apr 6

Kolkata, Apr 1 (UNI) Defence Minister and West Bengal Pradesh Congress president Pranab Mukherjee today said the party's election manifesto would be released by All India Congress Committee general secretary Margerate Alva on April 6.

''We will also publish the remaining list of candidates by tomorrow or day after tomorrow,'' he told reporters.

Mr Mukherjee said he would campaign for the party in West Midnapore and Purulia on April 7 and 11.

However, he did not spell out the exact date of campaigning by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
