TDP demands white paper on Congress promises

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Terming the INDIRAMMA programme launched today by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to provide basic amenities in the villages as yet another election gimmick in view of the ensuing Panchayat Elections, Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader K Yerrannaidu today demanded a White Paper on the election promises made by the ruling party.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Yerrannaidu said the Congress was in the habit of making tall promises before elections and was making one more before the Panchayat elections.

He said many of the foundation stones the Government had laid, ''remained just stones'' as the projects have not materialised.

Mr Naidu demanded a White Paper on the promises made by the Congress before last year's Assembly Elections and Municipal elections before making any further promises.
