C P Swarnkar new CMD of Syndicate Bank

Bangalore, Apr 1: Mr C P Swarnkar today assumed office as Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank.

A Bank release here said prior to this, Mr Swarnkar was the Executive Director of the Punjab National Bank (PNB).

Mr Swarnkar had started his career in PNB at the age of 21 and went on to become its General Manager in 1998 and handled important portfolios like credit, treasury and finance.

The release said Mr George Joseph took over as the Executive Director of the Bank. He had been serving as General Manager of Canara Bank, Chennai Circle, before taking up his present assignment.
