Record production by TVNL

Ranchi, Apr 1 (UNI) Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited, a Jharkhand Government undertaking running in deficit, has made an all-time high electricity production record during March 2006.

Deputy General Manager of TVNL Ramawatar Sahu told UNI here today the company generated 243.46 million units (MUs) of elecricity in March, which was highest ever since its inception.

''We have produced a total of 1527.43 MU of electricity during the financial year 2005-06,'' he added.
