Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Equity markets will start counting on the fourth quarter results (Q4) for the period from January one to March 31, which will start pouring in from the second week on wards.

With over three per cent rise in Sensex and Nifty this week, the valuations in most of the blue chips are already over-stretched, the Q4 results might show the way for the investors.

If the rise in the smallcap and midcap stocks have not been with the same speed so far, the scope for further investment in the small and medium companies will brighten, backed by better Q4 numbers.

The foreign fund flow is still quite robust at Rs 502.50 crore reported for Thursday and Rs 1,518.30 crore from Monday to Thursday.

The upward momentum in the domestic markets is likely to continue with mutual funds sitting over huge cash generated out of new fund offers.

Only worry for the markets in near term is the high crude oil prices which have touched an eight week high of USD 66-67 per barrel in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

Of late, global markets have also been influencing Indian markets and are likely to do so in near future as well.
