PMK expels former MLA for antiparty activities
Chennai, Apr 1 (UNI) PMK leader and former MLA P Govindan was today expelled from the primary membership of the party for allegedly indulging in anti-party activities.
PMK President G K Mani, in a statement here said the decision was taken by Party founder Dr S Ramadoss as Mr Govindan had acted against PMK Candidate Kannaiyan, who would be contesting the May eight polls from the Taramangalam Assembly constituency.
The seat was held by Mr Govindan, who was elected from Taramangalam in the 2001 Assembly polls.
Mr Mani appealed to the partymen and the constituent parties of the DMK-led DPA not to have any links with the expelled leader.
