New CMD for NTPC

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Mr T Sankarlingam today took over as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC (Southern region).

According to a press release here, Mr Sankarlingam, who contributed to establishing national benchmarks in power project construction with his managenment capability, proactive planning and strategic thinking, had served TNEB and BHEL before joining NTPC in 1977.

He is a recipient of several presigious awards and is a member of severalgovernment and technical committees.

Mr Sankarlingam last held the post of Executive Director (Engineering) of NTPC.
