MV Inspector held for bribery
Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped V Shankar , Motor Vehicle Inspector of Regional Transport Authority, Uppal when he accepted Rs 700 as bribe from the complainant.
The ACB officials recovered the tainted amount from Mr Shanker and arrested him. He will be produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases, Hyderabad, an ACB release here said.
Meanwhile, Special Judge for Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Cases, Visakhapatnam today convicted P Janaki Rao, Former Divisional Accounts Officer of Roads and Building Department at Amalapuram in East Godavari and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of Rs 500.
Mr Rao was trapped by ACB officials when he demanded and accepted Rs 500 as bribe from the complainant, another release said here.
