Man lifered for killing wife

Akola, Apr 1 (UNI) A sessions court here sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife.

Additional Sessions Judge S P Deshmukh, while delivering the judgement yesterday, also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on accused - Prakash Ingole.

According to prosecution, Ingole had married - Vimal in 1994, despite being married earlier.

On April 7 last year, Ingole beat up Vimal and demanded some money from her parents. He later administered her poison following which she died.

The court, however, acquitted Ingole's father and mother, who were also accused in the case, for want of evidence against them.
