K'taka HC Benches: Calender of events released

Hubli, Apr 1 (UNI) Karnataka Law Minister Basavaraj Horatti today announced the schedule for commencement of construction work for setting up the circuit benches of the Karnataka High Court at Dharwad and Gulbarga.

Addressing a press conference here, he said tender of notification for construction works of both the benches would be issued on April 5 and the work order would be issued on July 10 after completion of all formalities.

''The government has also reduced the period of notification to 45 days from a minimum of 60 days to expedite the process,'' he added.

Mr Horatti said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy would perform the bhoomi pooja to mark the commencement of construction works at Walmi on April 11.

He said the circuit bench buildings would come up on 47 acres of land at Walmi in Dharwad and 55 acres of land at Gulbarga.
