Hero Honda's 2005-06 sales up 14 per cent
New Delhi, Apr 1: India's biggest motorcycle maker, Hero Honda, today said sales during the financial year 2005-06 accelerated by 13.71 per cent to 29,08,084 units against 25,57,385 units in the previous year.
Exports during the year surged by 30.91 per cent to 92,667 units against 64,015 units during financial year 2004-05.
March sales rose 14.3 per cent to 2,65,399 units from 2,23,828 units in the same month a year ago.
However, exports during March 2006 fell by 10.97 per cent to 6,913 units from 7,765 units during the year ago period.
Japan's Honda Motor Company owns 26 per cent of Hero Honda.
